I joined Ophelia Sullivan in 2021 on some tracks of studio work for their debut album „Disposable Identity“. Being a big prog fan, this was lots and lots of fun for me! Be sure to give it a listen!
„Saccharine and harmonious vocals anchor us to some sense of familiarity, before the eruption of riffs and Vanessa Jung’s vibrant guitar solo deliver us into a realm that could best be described as Gary Numan meets Björk. (…) Above all, Sullivan and their collaborators exhibit masterful prowess on Disposable Identity, performing at a high level of proficiency that never feels overindulgent.“ – regenmag.com
„Effortlessly merging elements of post and progressive rock/metal with electronic and orchestral textures, it’s an album that defies traditional genres. It’s an auditory and sensory experience…rich, layered, outstanding!“ – mesmerized.io
„Sometimes, lesser-known artists make some of the best albums of the year. I’m really liking the new one from Ophelia Sullivan, and I think their new album Disposable Identity is a real gem.“ – The Prog Mind (theprogmind.com)
„So hat Ophelia Sullivan mit „Disposable Identity“ ihre ganz eigene musikalische Nische geschaffen, die räumlich im Spannungsfeld zwischen Massive Attack, Björk, A Perfect Circle und Bent Knee („Frosting„-Ära) eingeordnet werden kann.“ – BetreutesProggen.de
