What it is about
Carved in Stone doesn’t really have a particular story, but I stumbled across that riff when I practised programming drum grooves and started playing around with it. Although I don’t really listened that much to Joe Satriani, it’s reminiscent of instrumental artists like him. I wanted to write a song that doesn’t have lyrics, but still has clear song parts, with the guitar replacing the voice of a singer.
